Why can't I see the In-Game Chat?


If you can't see the in-game chat it means you filled in "below 16 years of age" when starting Castle Cats! The reason for that is that because of GDPR laws in Europe, In-Game chat is disabled for players below 16 years of age, amongst other things!. If you are under 16 years old and want to access the In-Game Chat we require Parental Consent. In order to do so, you'd need to send an email to support@pocappstudios.com' with the title "Castle Cats - Parental Consent" :3 Information required in this email:
1) Aattach a copy of your ID, your parents ID and a written consent from your parent stating that you (the player) are allowed to use these features in Castle Cats. 2) After we have reviewed and confirmed the information we will help you enable the features restricted by GDPR laws - like the In-Game chat!

How do I chat with other players in-game?


Tap the Chat Bubble icon (located in the Main Menu / Guild Hall, at the bottom left corner) and Log In with Facebook to be able to Chat with other players in-game! :3




How do I log in with Facebook?


You can log in with Facebook in 2 places! :3 1. In the Chat Menu by LIKING or COMMENTING. 2. In the Minty HeartPop up there's a Log In Button.




Is my progress saved if I'm connected to Facebook?


No - Castle Cats does not use Facebook to save In-Game Progress :( To save your progress you need to connect your Google Play or iCloud account with Castle Cats. The Menu can be found in Game Settings > Check Cloud Save > Log In or Save To Cloud! :3




I don’t have Facebook/friends. Can I recruit Minty anyway?


No :( In order to recruit Minty you must invite 3 friends on Facebook. They need to download Castle Cats, connect to Facebook themselves and finish the Tutorial. Then Minty Heart will join your guild! :3




How do I invite my friends from Facebook?


Easy! Go to the Social Menu (located in the bottom left corner) > tap the 3 dots Button in the Main Menu / Guild Hall > tap the "Invite" Button at the top! :3




I’m inviting friends from Facebook but they don’t show?


Make sure they have finished the Tutorial and are connected to Facebook In-Game! Then they will count towards your Minty Heart Progress :3




Why can't I login to Facebook and/or get Minty Heart?


If you can't login to Facebook and/ord get Minty Heart it means it means you filled in "below 16 years of age" when starting Castle Cats! TUTORIAL

How do I get new Cats?


You can get new Cats by buying them in the Shop from Common, Rare or Mythic Boxes, collecting them from the Calendar or Crafting Eggs in the Alchemy Station. You can also get new Cats by receiving Tickets and using said Tickets in the Shop! :3




The quest tells me I need 4 cats, but I only have 3 slots?


The quest needs 4 skills! It means that you will have to evolve 1 cat to unlock their second skill to be able to continue the quest! :3




I need two skills, but the game only let me send one cat on the mission! Is that a bug?


Every Castle cat can have two skills. To get access to their second skill, you would need to evolve them to level 5 in your Fortress!




What are Tickets?


Tickets are used for recruiting Cats for free! Green Tickets are of recruiting Common Cats, Blue Tickets are for Recruiting Rare Cats and Orange Tickets are for recruiting Mythic Cats.




How do I get Tickets?


You can receive Tickets as Rewards from Quests, from Leveling Up your Guild or from the Calendar.




Can I sell Cats I don’t want?


Kind of! In Castle Cats you can Dismiss the Cats you don't want in your Guild for Embers that are used for evolution and crafting!




How do I Dismiss a Cat?


You can Dismiss a Cat in the Fortress Menu by choosing the Cat you want to Dismiss, tapping Dismiss and then confirming your choice to Dismiss said Cat in two steps.




Can I get my Dismissed Cat back?


No :c There is no way to get a Dismissed Cat back to your guild since it's a permanent action!




How do I access the Fortress Menu?


You can access the Fortress Menu by tapping the Castle to the left in your Main Menu / Guild Hall. Or by tapping the Castle Button at the top left of your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




How do I decide which Cats are shown in my Guild?


You can decide which Cats are shown in your Guild by Activating them in the Fortress Menu. If all Activated Cats are on Quests random Inactive Cats will be displayed in your Guild.




How do I Activate or Inactivate Cats?


You can Activate Cats in the Fortress Menu (access it by tapping the Castle to the left of your Main Menu / Guild Hall). Select the Cat you want to Activate or Deactivate and tap the arrow to move them from Active to Inactive. The amount of Active Cats you can have depends on the Upgrade Level of your Fortress.




How many Cats can I send on Quests?


You can only send your Active Cats on Quests. To increase the number of Active Cats in your Guild you have to Upgrade the Fortress. You can Upgrade the Fortress in the Shop Menu, but also by tapping the Hammer Icon in the upper right corner. Scroll until you find the Fortress and tap to Upgrade it! You can have a Maximum of 10 Active Cats!




How do I increase the number of Active Cats?


To increase the number of Active Cats in your Guild you have to Upgrade the Fortress. You can Upgrade the Fortress in the Shop Menu, but also by tapping the Hammer Icon in the upper right corner. Scroll until you find the Fortress and tap to Upgrade it! You can have a Maximum of 10 Active Cats.




What do Skills and Traits do?


Certain Skills enable you to do the Quests that require that specific Skill. Traits are passive powers that helps the Cats in different ways while doing Quests (e.g. more rewards, faster quest times etc).




I got a Cat but it’s Skills/Traits are grey. What does it mean?


This means that the Cat is not Evolved enough to acquire said Skills / Traits. You can unlock its Skills and Traits by Evolving them with Embers!




How do I unlock a Cats Skills and Traits?


You can unlock Skills and Traits for your Cats by Evolving them using Embers!




How do I evolve Cats?


a. You can Evolve Cats in the Fortress Menu by choosing the Cat you want to Evolve and then tapping the Evolve Button (bottom right). All Cats have Four Evolve Stages and the cost for Evolving a Cat differs depending on the Cats Evolution Stage or Type (Common, Rare or Mythic). b. Stage 1: Outfit c. Stage 2:Trait d. How do I level up my Cats?


You can level up your Cats by sending them on Quests. Your Cats receive XP for every Quest they complete! :3




How do I level up my Low-Level Cats?


You can level up your Low-Level Cats by sending them on Quests. To get Low-Level Quests you have to Activate your Low-Level Cats then wait for the quests to Refresh. When the Quests Refresh you will get Low-Level Quests for your Cats




How do I level up my Guild?


You can level up your Guild by doing Quests. For every Quests your guild completes you receive XP as the Guild Leader!




How do I see how many Cats I have?


You can see all the Cats you have in The Fortress Menu.




How do I see how many Cats I have collected?


You can see all the Cats you have collected in your Catalog! You can access the Catalog by tapping the Book to the top left in your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




How do I access the Catalog?


You can access the Catalog by tapping the Book to the top left in your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




How do I change my Cats Outfits?


You can choose which outfit your chosen Cat is wearing in the Armory Menu. To choose between several Outfits, the Outfit needs to be unlocked first by Evolving your chosen Cat.




How do I access the Armory Menu?


You can access the Armory Menu by tapping the Sword and Shield Button to the top left in your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




How do I unlock Outfits for my Cats?


You can unlock Outfits for your Cats by Evolving them to the Max or purchasing new Outfits.




How do I Rename my Cats?


You can Rename a Cat in the Fortress Menu by choosing the Cat you want to Rename, tapping the Rename button (above the cat portrait) and typing in the preferred name.




How do I send my Cats on Quests?


You send Cats on Quests from your Quest Board. Pick a Quest, assign your chosen Cats then tap Start Quests in the bottom right corner. The Quest Board is located In the middle of your Main Menu / Guild Hall.

The Quest Board is located In the middle of your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




What's the difference between the "Normal" Quests and “Story Quests”?


Story Quests have much harder Requirements and are special with unique Dialogue in-game. On Story Quests, you have to meet ALL of the Requirements to start the Quest (Cat Level, Skills, Number of Cats). On Normal Quests the only Requirement is the Number of Cats needed. Meanwhile, having the proper Cat Level and Skills for the Quest raises the Great Success Chance but are not required to start the Quest.




Why can’t I go on Story Quests?


Check if you fulfill the Requirements for Skills, Cat Level, Material Costs and Number of Cats! If you do not meet the Requirements you can't go on a Story Quest.




How do I enter a Battle?


When you start a Quest, a Battle Icon will appear on the Quest Card. In order to join the Battle, you need to tap the Battle Icon.




How do I fight in a Battle?


To fight in a Battle you need to tap on the Enemy that your Cats are fighting. Tapping the Enemy depletes your Tap Energy (displayed on the Bar at the top of the screen). You can also use the Cats Attack Skill to deal damage to the Enemy.




What is an Attack Skill?


All Cats have an Attack Skill displayed on the Bar at the bottom of the screen in the Battle Menu.




How do I use a Cats Skills?


You charge the Attack Skill of your Cats by dealing tapping damage to the Enemy. When a Cat's Attack Skill is ready, its portrait turns bright and shiny. What is Tap Energy?


Tap Energy is what you use to attack Enemies in Battle.




Why does it say I'm out of Tap Energy?


There is limited Tap Energy. If you run out of Tap Energy you have to Refill it with an Energy Potion or by waiting for it to get Refilled on its own.




How do I refill my Tap Energy?


Tap the Energy Potion to the right of the Energy Bar at top of the Quest Board Menu or In Battle Menu and watch an Ad. Or wait until it has Refilled on its own.




Can I upgrade my Tap Energy?


Yes you can. You can Upgrade your Tap Energy by Upgrading your Quest Board to Max 600 Tap Energy.




How do I upgrade the Quest Board?


You can Upgrade the Quest Board from the Shop Menu or by tapping Quest Board Menu, scrolling to the far right and tapping the Upgrade Option.




What do Battle Items do?


Battle Items help your Cats finish the Quests faster in-battle.




How do I use Items in Battle?


To use the battle items you have to Activate them to the left of the Battle Menu (in-battle).




How do I create Items to use for Battle?


You can craft Battle Items in the Alchemy Station.




What are Eggs?


Eggs are Cats that you can Craft in the Alchemy Station.




How do I Craft Eggs?


You can Craft an Egg when you fulfill the Material Requirements at the Alchemy Station.




What is the Alchemy Station?


The Alchemy Station is where you can use your Materials to Craft them in to other Items such as Battle Items, Eggs, Rare Embers or other Items that help you in Battle.




How do I access the Alchemy Station?


You can access the Alchemy Station by tapping the Cauldron in the middle of your Main Menu / Guild Hall.




How do I use the Alchemy Sation?


The Alchemy Station has 4 different standard tabs. Everything, Battle Items, Guild Items and Eggs. To Craft an item, you need the Required Materials. If you have the Required Materials simply choose the Item/Egg/Ember that you want to create and tap the Craft Button on the right side of the menu.




How do I skip the waiting times in the Alchemy Station?


You can pay Gems to skip the waiting time in the Alchemy Station. The Gem Price depends on the time skipped.




What are Guild Items?


Guild Items are crafted at the Alchemy Station and are used to help you with Quests (e.g. increasing rewards, decreasing Quest Duration, etc.).




How do I use Guild Items?


To use Guild Items you need to Activate them. You Activate Guild Items in the Inventory Menu.




How do I access the Inventory Menu?


You can access the Inventory Menu by tapping the potion box in the Questbord menu.




What are Embers?


Embers are used to Evolve your Cats. There are Common Embers and Rare Embers and they all come in 3 colors: Green, Blue and Red Embers.




How do I use Embers?


You can use your Embers when Evolving Cats in the Fortress Menu.




How do I get Embers?


You can get Embers by doing Normal Quests that rewards Common or Rare Embers depending on which day of the week it is. You can also get Embers by gaining them as rewards from the Calendar, by Dismissing Cats and by buying them in the Shop. There's a better chance to get Embers on level 4 quests and higher.




Which days do Quests have a chance to Reward Embers?


a. Mondays do not reward any Embers since Mondays are universally known as the worst day of the week. b. Tuesdays: Common Red Embers c. Wednesdays: Common Green Embers d. Thursdays: Common Blue Embers e. Fridays: Rare Red Embers f. Saturday: Rare Green Embers g. Sunday: Rare Bue Embers




Can I convert Common Embers for Rare Embers?


Yes you can Craft Rare Embers with Common Embers in the Alchemy Station.




What is the Market?


In the Market you can Exchange Materials for other Materials that you need.




How do I use the Market?


First choose which material you want to trade in on the left side. On the right chose what material you want to acquire. The slide in the middle decides the quantity of materials which will be gained / lost.




How do I skip the waiting times in The Market?


You can watch an Ad to skip the waiting time in the market.




What are Materials used for?


Materials are used for Upgrading your Material Stations in the Main Menu / Guild Hall as well as a Requirement for Story Quests and Normal Quests. Materials are also used for Crafting Items/Eggs in the Alchemy Station and Upgrading your Fortress.




How do I get Rare Materials (gold nugget, etc.)?


You can get Rare Materials from Quest Rewards. You can also Trade Common Materials for Rare Materials in the Market or by buying them directly from the Shop.




My materials are disappearing!


Materials are used to go on Quests which is why it may seem like they have disappeared.




What are Daily Quests?


Daily Quests are Special Quests that you can finish once/day that give high rewards and a Mystery Box, containing a random Reward.The Daily Quests reset at midnight 00.00 every day.




How do I complete Daily Quests?


a. You can complete your Daily Quests by: b. Entering 3 Battles c. Collecting 100 Materials d. Shake Cats for 100 Gold. e. Finish 5 Quests f. Finish at least 3 Daily Quests and you will be rewarded with a Mystery Box, containing a random Reward.




I don’t get any more Gold from shaking cats. What happened?


Make sure to first pick up all of the Gold. If Gold still doesn't come out it's because you have finished your Daily Quests.




How do I use the in-game Shop?


You can access the in-game Shop by tapping the Box Button in the top right corner. The in-game Shop has 5 different standard tabs. Cat Boxes, Upgrades, Gold, Gems and Embers. Tap the different tabs to get information on what you can buy. Preview the Item by tapping it. Purchase the Item by first previewing it then confirming the purchase. Sometimes the Shop has an extra tab containing special items – usually Event-Exclusive Cats!




How do I get more Gold?


You can get Gold from quest rewards, shaking cats, buying Gold straight from the Shop or from the Calendar.




How do I acquire more Gems?


You can get Gems from quest rewards, buying Gems straight from the Shop or as Calendar.




Why can’t I purchase from the store? Says unavailable?


This happens when you don’t have a proper connection to the Google / iOS. To resolve this problem, make sure you have a good Wi-fi connection. You can also restart the game or if this doesn't work you can restart your device.




How can I collect Event Materials during the event?


You can either acquire them by doing Event Quests or Normal Quest. You can also purchase Event Materials directly.




What are the Event Materials used for?


You can use the Event Materials to Hatch Event Cats in the Alchemy Station.




How do I obtain Kyle, Hood, Nessie etc.?


a. Kyle, Hood and Nessie are part of the Calendar Cats and are given as Daily Login Rewards. The following Cats are given on these Calendar Days. b. Day 2 – Kyle c. Day 7 – Nessie d. Day 13 – Beans e. Day 19 – Mego f. Day 28 – Megara g. Day 42 – Pink h. Day 56 – Bloom i. Day 70 – Hood j. Day 84 – Selene k. Day 112 - Copper l: Day 365 - Celestia




How do I get an achievement?


Right now we don't have a dedicated achievement menu in-game. However you can get achievements through the Google Play Services and iOS Game Center but they don't give any rewards in game.




How does Reputations work?


You can earn Reputation Tokens from the respective guilds: The Mighty, The Whiskers and The Zenpaws! [Unlocks at Guild Level 20 or above!] Reputation Tokens can be earned by doing Reputation Quests. Reputation Quests have a rare chance to spawn from Level 6 quests and above! [They are very hard to get &difficult to beat!] Deliver your earned Reputation Tokens to the guilds in order to earn Reputation Level with each guild separately! 😺 Each time you Level Up in Reputation you can open a Reputation Chest with a chance to get exclusive Lions, Whiskers or Zenpaws items! 😻





VIP, PURCHASES & SUBSCRIPTIONS

How do I un-subscribe to a Subscription in Castle Cats?


On Android:
1) On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store .
2) Check if you're signed in to the correct Google Account.
3) Tap Menu Subscriptions.
4) Select the subscription you want to cancel.
5) Tap Cancel subscription.
6) Follow the instructions :3

On iOS:
1) Launch the Settings app.
2) Tap iTunes & App Store.
3) Tap on your Apple ID.
4) Tap View Apple ID when the pop up window appears.
5) Enter your Apple ID password or fingerprint ID when prompted.
6) Tap Subscriptions.
7) Tap the Subscription you want to cancel :3




I purchased ( x ) but I didn't get it!

How do I get VIP Points?


VIP Points are received when making real money purchase in-game! :3 OBS Subscriptions are exempt from VIP Points.




How do I activate VIP?


In the VIP menu (located to the right of your guild leader icon) you can buy a 1 week activation for 60 gems or 4 weeks activation for 200 gems! :3





SAVE FILE

I can't restore my progress?


In order to restore progress, Castle Cats must be connected to Google Cloud or iOS iCloud first! :3 You can connect your game by going to the Settings Menu (tap the Cogwheel located at the top right corner in Main Menu / Guild Hall) or in the Start Menu! Then you can restore your progress! :D If you cannot load your progress, then it must not have been saved to the Cloud. So sorry about this! Next time, make sure to Cloud Save before uninstalling. Alternatively, if you've spent a considerable amount of time and/or money in Castle Cats and would like to restore your progress manually, please contact Support using the form below with purchase receipts and screenshots from your past progressions if possible.




If I reinstall the game will it fix the bugs?


No! Reinstalling might result in your savefile disappearing and rarely fixes any bugs at all. Please contact us using the form below instead for assistance with any problems that you're having! We'd be glad to help! :3

If I delete Castle Cats will my progress be saved?


No! If you want to continue playing Castle Cats you need to save your progress to the Cloud first. After you have done that it's save to delete the game!. To save your progress you need to connect your Google Play or iCloud account with Castle Cats. The Menu can be found in Game Settings > Check Cloud Save > Log In or Save To Cloud! :3 [ For iOS devices: you first need to make sure you are connected to iCloud and that the Keychain feature is activated. How do I transfer my Android game file to my iOS device (or vice versa)?


It's a bit tricky! To transfer your game from Android to iOS (or vice versa) you would first need to: 1. Contact us using the form below with the subject: "Exporting from (Device 1) to (Device 2)! 2. We will give you a code to transfer your game with a set of instructions. 3. You contact us again when you are done with the code. 4. We will give you another code to enter on the device you'd like to move the game to. 5. Done! You now have your latest progress on your newest device! Wiee! :3




Is there a way to reset my account (progress)?


Yes! You can reset the account by removing all of your cache and data files from Castle Cats in your phone app settings! You should be able to find the Cache in Phone Settings > Installed Apps > Castle Cats > Cache If you're unable to do so, please contact support using the form below and we'll assist you as soon as we can! :3





COMMON QUESTIONS

My game keeps lagging, freezing and/or crashing!


So sorry about this! The first thing you should do (if you haven't) is to 1a. Update your Android device Operative System to Version 8.0 or above. 1b. Update your iOS device Operative System to Version 12 or above. If you play on an old device your RAM may be too low to play Castle Cats (The game needs at least 2GB of RAM to run smoothly). If that's the case, we recommend closing all background apps while playing Castle Cats as well as playing on Airplane mode which is easier for an older device to handle! (Advanced) You can also try to remove Corrupt files in your Castle Cats directory folder by cleaning out the Castle Cats Cache. You should be able to find the Cache in Phone Settings > Installed Apps > Castle Cats > Cache If you're still experiencing issues, please contact support using the form below and we'll assist you as soon as we can! :3

I got a duplicate Cat when opening a box? Why?


You can get duplicates in Castle Cats! If you do not want to keep your "Duplicat" you can chose to Dismiss it in the Fortress Menu for Embers, or use it to craft special eggs in Alchemy + much more! :D




I can't save my Guild Leader. It says "Permission Needed"?


This means that Castle Cats needs permission to save a photo on your device! To do this, please go to your device's App Settings > Find Castle Cats > Check the box called "Storage Permission". Now Castle Cats will have permission to save your photo onto your device! :D




What happens after I reach the maximum Player Level?


Impossible! As of now, there is no maximum level! :3




I can’t recover my save?


In order to recover your save, Castle Cats must be connected to Google Cloud or iOS iCloud first! :3 You can connect your game by going to the Settings Menu (tap the Cogwheel located at the top right corner in Main Menu / Guild Hall) or in the Start Menu! Then you can restore your progress! :D If you cannot load your progress, then it must not have been saved to the Cloud. So sorry about this! Next time, make sure to Cloud Save before uninstalling. Alternatively, if you've spent a considerable amount of time and/or money in Castle Cats and would like to restore your progress manually, please contact Support using the form below with purchase receipts and screenshots from your past progressions if possible.




If I switch devices will my progress be saved automatically?


No - to save your progress you need to connect your Google Play or iCloud account with Castle Cats. The Menu can be found in Game Settings > Check Cloud Save > Log In or Save To Cloud! :3 Now you can switch devices (Android > Android or iOS > iOS) and recover your save without a problem! To switch devices Android > iOS or viceversa, you need to follow our guide located in the questios below! :3 [ For iOS devices: you first need to make sure you are connected to iCloud and that the Keychain feature is activated. You also need to be logged in to GameCenter in the iPhone Settings for it to work.

For Android devices: you first need to make sure to be connected Google Cloud in-game. You can access it by going to the Settings Menu (tap the Cogwheel located at the top right corner in Main Menu / Guild Hall) or in the Start Menu. ]




How do I transfer my Android game file to my iOS device (or vice versa)?


It's a bit tricky! To transfer your game from Android to iOS (or vice versa) you would first need to: 1. Contact us using the form below with the subject: "Exporting from (Device 1) to (Device 2)! 2. We will give you a code to transfer your game with a set of instructions. 3. You contact us again when you are done with the code. 4. We will give you another code to enter on the device you'd like to move the game to. 5. Done! You now have your latest progress on your newest device! Wiee! :3




Is there a way to reset my account (progress)?


Yes! You can reset the account by removing all of your cache and data files from Castle Cats in your phone app settings! You should be able to find the Cache in Phone Settings > Installed Apps > Castle Cats > Cache If you're unable to do so, please contact support using the form below and we'll assist you as soon as we can! :3




I purchased ( x ) but I didn't get it!

Why can't I see the In-Game Chat?


If you can't see the in-game chat it means you filled in "below 16 years of age" when starting Castle Cats! The reason for that is that because of GDPR laws in Europe, In-Game chat is disabled for players below 16 years of age, amongst other things!. If you are under 16 years old and want to access the In-Game Chat we require Parental Consent. In order to do so, you'd need to send an email to support@pocappstudios.com' with the title "Castle Cats - Parental Consent" :3 Information required in this email:
1) Aattach a copy of your ID, your parents ID and a written consent from your parent stating that you (the player) are allowed to use these features in Castle Cats. 2) After we have reviewed and confirmed the information we will help you enable the features restricted by GDPR laws - like the In-Game chat!

The quest needs 4 skills! It means that you will have to evolve 1 cat to unlock their second skill to be able to continue the quest! :3
