3D Artist
PocApp is an independent mobile game studio in Skövde, Sweden that consists of 15 developers. We work together in a cozy and relaxed environment together with our two office dogs, Taki and Mio.
Currently we are looking to find a 3D Artist that wants to take over the lead from our current 3D Artist - Kevin Evason!
Employment: Full-time permanent employment (tillsvidareanställning), 35 hours per week on-site at the studio in Skövde.
Employment Start: June at the earliest. As soon as possible!
As a 3D Artist at PocApp you will work together with the Art Team to create and optimize content and production pipelines for Alchimerge. We're looking for someone with Generalist knowledge - comfortable with sculpting characters to environments - in a stylized setting.
We are hoping to work with someone passionate and knowledgeable, preferably with previous experience of mobile game production or other game-development.
We will be reviewing applicants continously since we are in a bit of a hurry!
Responsibilities:
- Create a plan for how to continue and improve upon the 3D-project pipeline
- In charge of creating new in-game assets & improve old assets.
- Collaborate closely with a small team of designers, artist and programmers.
Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Maya or Blender
- Good knowledge of Substance Painter
- Good knowledge of Unity
- Comfortable with Zbrush
- Comfortable with a stylized artstyle
- Comfortable with 3D pipeline: modelling, UV-mapping, texturing etc.
- Learning-mindset: be able to receive and react to feedback
- Structured-mindset: keeping track of deadlines and project files
Bonus Points:
- Previous work experience as a 3D Artist
- Experience with mobile game restrictions (low-poly, optimization etc.)
- Experience with Shaders and/or Unity Technicalities
Portfolio Bonus:
- Any game assets breakdowns (topology, UV-map, texture map etc)
- Any optimized game assets for low-end devices
